Student Testimonials for FPLA

Success Begets Success.

We, the team FPLA and the parents, all succeed when our students succeed. Since its establishment in 1998, Full Potential Learning Academy (FPLA) has been honored to partner with parents and teachers, irrespective of the challenges, in reaching the shared goal of improving students’ outcome. Here we bring to you the first hand accounts of the effectiveness of our programs. We encourage you to share your successes as well.

We asked our students the reason they come to Full Potential and generated the word cloud. The responses astounded us. Many of the students found Full Potential is a non-judgmental place where they are respected, valued and reach the goal they are here for; to get better grades and gain confidence.

Hi, My name is Sarah Bouassi. I am a senior now (2019-20). I am attending Full Potential since my freshman year. I Have taken classes for Algebra, Geometry, Biology, English, End of the course (EOC) test and the SAT. I like the block scheduling of 45 minutes twice a week. It helps me stay in focus. I recommend Full Potential to any student who needs help with school classes or major tests.

I have improved my test scores by 20% and I feel for the future student that you should be interested in learning and should know what you want to do with your life.

Kenneth Canales

My name is Nalley Flores and am a senior (2019). I took algebra tutoring at Full Potential. My tutors adapted to my learning style, taught me the basic math concepts and ensured that I work independently. Thanks to their support I successfully passed the exam. I thank Full Potential staff for helping me learn math concepts.

Nalley Flores

12th grader at Our Lady of Charity School.

I came to Full Potential to pass the reading section of the ACT exam. Prior to coming here, I took this test twice before and got only 14 in the reading section. I needed 19 to graduate. At Full Potential I took a placement test, which helped to identify the areas that I needed the most help. Based on this test results, I received a customized lesson plan and was paired with a tutor for one-on-one instruction. After four-month training, I retook the ACT on Feb. 9, 2019 and earned 22 points in the reading section, a giant leap from my previous score of 14.I hardly missed any sessionand put forth my best to learn as much as I could. Every step of the way, the tutor and the director kept me motivated. I recommend Full Potential to anyone who need reading help.

Daniel Santa Cruz

12th grader (2019) at Barbara Goleman Senior High School.

I took course assistance for English language and math program. I started taking in person classes. I play baseball and found it difficult to find time to come to Full Potential. I was offered live online tutoring. Initially I was not sure but tried the first lesson. From then there was no turning back. It is very easy to use, there is no software to download. Except for working on the computer, I did not find any difference between the in person and live online session. It saved commute, balance my sports and keeping up good grades. I recommend anybody try this live online tutoring.
